Charles River

Providing a natural boundary between Boston and Cambridge, the banks of the Charles River offer a scenic opportunity for riding a bike, taking a contemplative stroll, or having a picnic. The Esplanade borders the River to the south and extends for one mile. Also available from the docks at the Hatch Shell is sailing.
